An Amazing Week at Intergenerational Vacation Bible School

The week of July 23rd brought a whole new atmosphere to Signature HealthCARE.  Camels, desert markets, tents, water fountains, and palm trees filled the front dining room.  And every afternoon from 1:30 to 3:00 the Signature campers and elders were led by caravan leader Reverend Ray Hartman and Caleb the camel on an “Amazing Desert Journey.”  Pith helmets were donned, songs were sung as banners were waved, and wonderful Bible stories were told.  To make it even more special, each traveler made a special momento of the days journey.

Cheri Hartman led the combined group in familiar hymns and praise music.  Clella Conatser, Judy Huling, residents Gearldrine Doss and Linda Belcher, and Chaplain Linda Page-Montgomery acted as storytellers.  Carol Wilson, Stephanie Huling, and Darlene Adams, along with all the other volunteers, assisted elders and campers with a multitude of crafts.  We truly could not have done it without our wonderful volunteers!
